Tiger Woods returned to the public eye Tuesday, making his first comments since his surprise knee surgery in April. The verdict? He's not a big fan of rehab, he has been hitting the links, and yes, he has every intention of winning next month's U.S. Open.

On Monday, Ernie Els said on his Web site that he would not play at the Memorial. Tuesday, the 2004 champion said he would be there.

Vijay Singh withdrew Monday from the Memorial because of a rib injury sustained last week, and Ernie Els said on his Web site that he won't be playing until next week.

Arron Oberholser has already had a tough time this year with a hand injury. He was dealt another blow Monday when he was knocked out of the U.S. Open by the tiniest of margins based on tournaments held on three continents.
